Custom Training

Humboldt Mediation Services trainers work with you to design a training for you and your organization that focuses on active learning to arrive at new communication and conflict management skills.

Facilitated Meetings

A team of trained facilitators provides impartial assistance and helps your group navigate toward a shared vision. This can include elements of mediation and/or training when useful.

Speakers' Bureau

HMS volunteers speak to your group about the value of finding collaborative solutions and introduce you to Humboldt Mediation Services

Community Mediator Training

At least annually, HMS offers a 34-hour training in community mediation. The training is fast-paced, active and in-depth. Those who wish to go on and serve with Humboldt Mediation then complete a term of mentorship in which they work one-on-one with an experienced mentor. Communication and Conflict Management Workshops

Several times per year, Humboldt Mediation Services offers one-day trainings in interpersonal conflict management, as well as workplace and business-related communication issues. Community Board Mediation

A panel of three trained volunteer community mediators assist you in working toward your own written win-win solutions. We are impartial - we do not recommend solutions or represent sides. Our mediators help you set ground rules and maintain them; hold a respectful space for you; and guide you through a process designed to arrive at your own written agreement.
